The former president of MUSIGA has defended the association and its leadership against corruption charges been leveled against them by a section of musicians and the general public.
In an Interview on Hitz fm on the TIG Show with Franky5 she was asked why MUSIGA always receives backslashes from the public and some musicians,
The ace musician out of pain and hurt stated that it is extremely unfortunate whenever people tag them as thieves and that they do mismanage the resources at MUSIGA.
The association’s image has been on a downward trend from its inception.
In a recent interview on GH entertainment on Rainbow Radio 87.5fm Ghanaian highlife legend Randy Nunoo stated that the Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is now a business entity and not a union seeking the welfare of musicians in Ghana.
In a blunt statement Randy said ‘I don’t recognize any MUSIGA in this country. I am telling you the gospel truth. I don’t recognize anything like that because they are not doing what they’re supposed to do.”
The musician further indicated that the entire leadership of MUSIGA is embroiled in corruption. According to him, the corruption at MUSIGA must stop since it could have negative effects on the music industry
But according to Diana, she will be more than happy if people say that with evidence. She further advised those people who are fond of insulting and lambasting them for no reason to desist from that attitude.
She thinks the current president of MUSIGA, Obour is also doing his bit to help build the union.
