Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton wants to be eye-level with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump when the two debate Monday night.
According to the Drudge Report, Clinton, who is 5’4″, has been demanding a step-stool behind her podium so that she can be eye-to-eye with Trump, who stands at 6’2″.
While that particular request was rejected by the independent commission which oversees the debates, it is allowing a custom-made podium to make up for the height difference.
According to a New York Times report on the candidates’ debate preparation, each have very different methods to get debate ready.
The Times reported that Clinton is reviewing “a thick dossier” on Trump “including analysis and assumptions about his psychological makeup” so that Clinton can knock Trump off balance.
