The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has stated that his flagship promise of one factory one district will be spearhead by the private sector with the government playing the role of a facilitator.
In an interview on BBC yesterday 5th Dec. 2016 he intimated that his political philosophy doesn’t favor state enterprise and that he prefers strengthening the private sector to carry out such lofty ideas.
The one district one factory has generated a lot of discussions with some challenging it’s feasibility and others praising it a bold initiative that is needed to move Ghana forward. With the latest twist to the promise the controversy is very likely to rage on.
