The founder of Action Chapel International, Arch Bishop Nicholas Duncan Williams has finally spoken after a long period of silence during this election year.
He began by condemning the fact that people normally take advantage of new regime or government to settle scores. “One of the things that happens when there is a change of government is these group of people who want to use the new government to settle scores with others, and that’s the time you see vindictiveness, revenge etc.
There is another group of people who become relevant by lying and revealing people’s secret to the current government. I was broken in my heart when I heard the speculations and the lies that were leveled against my daughter Charlotte Osei, because they were all false.
I didn’t want to talk initially because I’m a father of all and not to one party, and also because she was my daughter, but now that the elections are over, I can talk.
I am expecting that the same people who demonised her, sacrificed animals, poured blood and called curses on her will be humble enough to acknowledge that they were wrong in order that the curses they pronounced on her will not backfire.
I’ve also learnt a lot of lessons from this particular elections, and I tell people that history will tell us what happened”. The election is over, the one who won has won, and the one who lost has lost. What is most important is that Ghana is still intact”.
