
The Sports Minister and the MP for Ododododioo constituency Nii Lante Vanderpuye has described last Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting as a very difficult one when President Mahama informed them that will be their last cabinet meeting.
Responding to a publication by Ben Ephsons Daily Dispatch that President Mahama may not contest the presidency again on Radio Gold, the outgoing sports minister who is leading the crusade to put the president up for 2020 also described the atmosphere at their last cabinet meeting.
He revealed that some of the cabinet members broke into tears when the president announced that “this will be their last cabinet meeting”. The president went ahead to give an inspiring message that lifted up their spirits and turned their tears into faces of smiles and laughter. The meeting ended with hugs and encouragements.
